At this evening session, we welcomed North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner Arfon Jones to Chirk Leisure centre to see the results of his £2500 distributed funds from the "your community, your choice" vote earlier this year.
The fund was to be added to the "build the bus" fundraiser and now the club has completed the fundraising and received the transport, we were delighted when Arfon came down to see it in action.
At the time of the handover ceremony back in February Arfon Jones Quoted
“I am delighted that Your Community Your Choice fund continues to support community projects across north Wales for a sixth consecutive year.
I recently launched my Social Value Policy which seeks to expand our support to local communities and ‘Your Community Your Choice’ provides me with an opportunity to do just that.
This unique fund allows our communities to decide which projects should get financial support and the response showed that communities can work together to make our public places safer"
The Your Community, Your Choice initiative is also supported by the North Wales Police and Community Trust (PACT) which is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2018.
Also this evening, We welcomed David Evans (PACT Project Manager), Lloyd Fitzhugh (PACT Trustee) and Ryan Jones (PCSO For Plas Madoc) to see our new kits which were recently launched, as PACT kindly sponsored the back of shirt across all three kits to expand our relationship further.
Thank you again to all who attended, and for continuing to give this club great support and the foundations to develop further!
