In coordination with Mind North East Wales
Raising Awareness For Mental Health
Wrexham Inclusion football club have teamed up with Richard Dixon and Mind North East Wales to raise awareness for Mental Health.
Originally from Wrexham, richard now lives down in Oxfordshire with his wife and kids. A massive wrexham fan sees him still get to about 5/10 Wrexham games a season.
On a personal level, Richard owns a limited company as a IT contractor and has carried out contracts at a variety of financial institutions over the last 10 years - mostly in London.
As such there’s little to be gained from a business perspective in advertising through Wrexham inclusion fc for him personally. The main drive for the sponsorship is in memory of his stepson, who took his own life in 2014. Richards Stepson's name was Zak but was called Ziggy by most people
Since then his family has raised nearly £40,000 for Mind, the mental health charity with most of this going to to his local oxfordshire branch.

The club have then teamed up with the local Mind for north east wales and the shirts will feature “Team Ziggy “ on the front of them in cooperation with Mind North East Wales.

The Fat Boar Wrecsam have sponsored the sleeves of two of our new kits.
Since The Fat Boar arrived in Wrexham, their support has been fantastic towards our club, often offering raffle prizes to help with various fundraising activities which we are extremely grateful for.
